My favorite picture that I took for this assignment was the one of the lays. The lays were originally

I agree in that your first picture is the strongest. It's got great demension with the purple tone only occuring in the background and the highlights on the pink petals. The composition also has a fantastic texture, with soft, even feathered edges. My only suggestion would be trying to get a little better focus, but for this piece I think it actually works.
