SERIES
I have learned many things from being in Digital Photography. First, I have learned how to edit pictures in Photoshop. I now know how to edit pictures in Photoshop and make simple changes to the compositon of an image. The second thing that I learned in this class was the importance of color within an image. Color is a very important thing to consider when conveing a message or idea. I have enjoyed this class and I will always consider what I have learned when taking pictures.
I feel as though fine art photography has many definitions. It can be defined differently, depending on the individual. To me, fine art photography is the act of taking pictures in a way, such that they engage the audience and are visually pleasing. This can be done by creating an interesting compostion or selecting an interesting subject matter. My favorite type of fine art photography is the macro style. I think that it is so amazing that you can make and normally uninteresting object more interesting just by zooming in on it.
I was first interested in this calss because I have always enjoyed looking at photography and I have long wanted to be able to create exceptional images. I also wanted to learn how to edit pictures simply and easily. Now, after successfully completing this class, I have a much greater appreciation for wonderfully taken pictures and I will always enjoy exceptional photography.

COLOR

This assignment was a difficult one to complete. This was because although I understand the idea of mood and color, it is hard to create a picture conveing and certain mood based off of color. I feel as though the first picture creates a sense of wonderment and curiousity. The yellowish turquoise hue I added as well as the wide eyed subject contribute to the overall mood of the picture. The second picture showing a girl deep in thought, pondering a major decision of some sort. This is shown through the bright sunlight coming in through the windows and the purply tint I placed on the picture. The third picture I took for this assignment depicts a girl deep in sarrowish thoughts. She looks as though she is feeling some sort of regret. The last picture has a happy, almost giddy feeling to it. The red nail polish contrasting with the blue rug alude to a fun bright mood. This picture is my favorite of the bunch because the rug creates a great sense of depth and I love how the subjects foot isn't completly flat. It's a great additive detail.

Andy Goldsworthy Emulation
I emulated Andy Goldsworthys style of photography by changing things in nature. To do this I had to create each of the scenes prior to taking pictures of them. Everything I used in the scenes was something I found in nature, I just changed its location. By doing this I made them into more interesting composition. I edited these pictures in photshop by adjusting the levels, hues, and the histogram.

I really enjoy watching complete his sculptures aswell as seeing the pictures he takes of his work. I really enjoy the fact that he is an environmentalist and that he uses this as a common theme within his work. I also enjoyed seeing the fact that not all of his sculptures completely worked and lasted long enough to be completely finished.
